'A few bad apples': Doug Ford responds to police corruption arrests
Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the news that seven Toronto police officers were arrested in a corruption probe is "disturbing" — but he doesn't want the public to lose trust in the police because of "a few bad apples."
$17,000 stolen from North Bay Farmers' Market board treasurer's truck
A cash box with $17,203 has allegedly been stolen out of a truck owned by the treasurer of the North Bay Farmers’ Market.
The amount includes occasional vendor fees, but also sales from the market booths.
The money was not deposited in the bank for several months, according to an email sent to vendors on Nov. 21 by the North Bay Farmers’ Market Board of Directors, a copy of which was obtained by The Nugget.
